Quizzing Tip: Writing Questions

It is better to work on learning and memorizing scripture than it is to spend a lot of time studying the questions.

However, many expert level quizzers talk about writing questions rather that just studying questions. Writing questions is great because you learn how to form questions on your own. It's no fun when you're new to Bible quizzing or inexperienced and you jump on a question but don't know how to finish the question even if you know the material.

Write questions until forming questions from a verse becomes second nature. Once you get the hang of it you can stop. If a quizzer memorizes the material and knows how to form questions on their own they will be very hard to beat in a competition.
